Find the area of quadrilateral ABCD in which AB=8cm ,BC =6cm, CD=8cm ,DA=10cm, and AC=10cm ?

Area of quadrilateral ABCD is the sum of areas of triangles ABC & ADC

Use the formula of area of a triangle with sides a, b and c as  Δ=√s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)  where the perimeter is given by  2s=a+b+c . So area of triangle  ΔABC=√12(12−8)(12−6)(12−10)=√12∗4∗6∗2=24  square cm & area of  ΔADC=√14(14−10)(14−10)(14−8)=8√21∼8∗4.58=36.66  square cm

So, the area of the quadrilateral is  24+36.66=60.66  square cm.

∴ your answer is 60.66
