area of triangle=1/2×base ×height

=1/2×9 ×40

first we need to find length of one of its diagonal through which we divide the quadrilateral in two triangles.

for this using Pythagoras theorem in right triangle,we get length of diagonal =41cm

now ,area of triangle can be found by using Heron's formula

A=s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

here ,s is semi perimeter

and, s=(a+b+c)/2

=(15+28+41)/2

=42cm

again, area A=(42-15)(42-28) (42-41)

=306sq.cm
