we can apply pythagorous theorm:

(length)^2+ (breadth)^2=(diagonal)^2

now, putting the values:

(4)^2+(b)^2=(5)^2

16+ (b)^2= 25

(b)^2=9

therefore,b=3

now area of rectangle= lxb

=4x3=12cm^2
