Firstly we find length
so,
perim. of rectangle=2×(l+b)
180 =2×(l+40)
180/2=l+40
90=l+40
90-40=l
50=length
therefore,
area of rectangle=l×b
50×40

Answer

Area of Rectangle=L*B

Perimetre=2(l+b)

        180=2(l+40)

        180=2l+80

        2l=180-80=100

        2l=100

         l=100/2

         =50

 l=50 b=40

So area of the rectangle with perimetre 180 and breadth 40 is

               l*b

               50*40=2000cm^2
