12-7x-x²

x²-7x+12=0

x²-3x-4x+12=0

x(x-3)-4(x-3)=0

(x-3)(x-4)=0

x=3 or 4

roots=3 and 4

therefore,

area=3*4

area=12 units(square)

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangle = L×B.

= (12)×(-7-x²)

= -84-12x²

84/12=x²

√7=x ans.
