Given:-
- Length of a rectangle is twice the breadth.
- Perimeter of a rectangle is 30 cm.
⠀
To find:-
- Area of a rectangle.
⠀
Solution:-
Let,
- the Length be 2x and breadth be x.
⠀
According to the question
→ Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)
→ 2(2x + x) = 30
→ 4x + 2x = 30
→ 6x = 30
→ x = 5c
⠀
Therefore,
- length = 2x = 2 × 5 = 10 cm
- breadth = x = 5cm
⠀
Now,
→ Area of a rectangle = l × b
→ 10 × 5
→ 50 cm²
⠀
Hence,
- the area of a rectangle is 50 cm².
