Given:-

  • Length of a rectangle is twice the breadth.
  • Perimeter of a rectangle is 30 cm.

To find:-

  • Area of a rectangle.

Solution:-

Let,

  • the Length be 2x and breadth be x.

According to the question

→ Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l + b)

→ 2(2x + x) = 30

→ 4x + 2x = 30

→ 6x = 30

→ x = 5c

Therefore,

  • length = 2x = 2 × 5 = 10 cm
  • breadth = x = 5cm

Now,

→ Area of a rectangle = l × b

→ 10 × 5

50 cm²

Hence,

  • the area of a rectangle is 50 cm².
