Here is your answer..

Let x be the breadth of the rectangle.

Then , length will be 3x .

Now , Area = l * b

==> x * 3x

==> 3x^2

Given,

Breadth of rectangle = b

Length of rectangle = 3b

Then,

Area of rectangle  = length * breadth

                              = b * 3b

                              = 3b²
