Find the area of rectangular garden whose length is twice the breadth and perimeter and breadth measures 60 cm and 10 cm respectively​

First we have to make our mathematical sentence from the data provided to figure the width which we will call X. We will use X for width (breath) and use 2X for length since length is twice the length of width. We also know there is 2 lengths and 2 widths to equal the perimeter.

Our sentence will be as follow: 2(2X)+2(X)=60m. Lets start working the sentence to find X.

2(2X)+2(X)=60

4X+2X=60

6X=60 now we divide each side by 6.

66X=660

X=10

∴Length=20 m
