According to Pythagoras theorm :-
hypotenuse ^2=side1^2+side2^2
50^2=48^2+x^2
2500=2304+x^2
x^2=2500-2304=196
x=14
Other side is:14m
Area of rectangular plot =l*b
=14*48
=672m^2

50² = x²  + 48²²

2500 - 2304 = x²

196 = x²

x =14
