Hey!!
Here is the answer..

Area of regular hexagons is =
 \frac{3 \sqrt{3} }{2} side \times side

Side = 10 cm...given

= 3 x 1.732 x 10 x 10 / 2...
( \sqrt{3 } = 1.732)

= 258. 8 sq. cm.

This is the answer.
I hope it helps you.

The area of a regular hexagon whose each side is 10 cm is 259.8 cm².

Here in this question, we have to find the area of a regular hexagon whose each side is given 10 cm.

Concept :

What is a Regular polygon?

As we know, "A polygon which is closed in shape and has equal sides and equal angles is known as a regular polygon."

What is a regular hexagon?

"A regular hexagon has 6 equal sides and equal angles."

A regular hexagon is divided into 6 equilateral triangles.

Formula used :

Area of a regular hexagon, A = 6 × area of equilateral triangles

A = 6 × √3/4 × a²

A = 3 × √3/2 × a²

Given : Side of a regular hexagon , (a) = 10 cm

To Find: Area of a regular hexagon

Solution :

Step 1: Put the value of side 'a' in the Formula

A = 3 × √3/2 × a²

A = 3 × √3/2 × (10)²

Step 2: Put the value of √3 = 1.732 in step 1 and calculate the value of A

A = 3 × 1.732/2 × (10)²

A = 3 × 0.866 × 100

A = 300 × 0.866

A = 259.8 cm²

Hence, the area of a regular hexagon whose each side is 10 cm is 259.8 cm².
