find the area of rhombus in which each side 15 cm long and one of whose diagonal is 24 cm

By Pythagoras theorem,

(24/2)²+(half of other diagonal)²=15²

12²+(half of other diagonal)²=225

Half of other diagonal =√{225-144}

Half of other diagonal² =81

Other diagonal =2(√81) =2*9=18cm


Then area =(product of diagonals) /2


Area =18*24/2 =18*12

Area =216cm²
