Find the area of rhombus whose perimeter is 100m and one of its diagonal is 40 m

solution

Perimeter of rhombus= 100m

4a= 100m

a= 25m

Each side is equal to 25m

Diagonal 1= 30m

Now by Pythagoras theorem

25^2 = 15^ + b^2

625-225= b^2

400 = B^ 2

B= 20 m

Diagonal 2 = 20*2= 40 m

Area of rhombus = 1/2* D1 * D2

= 1/2*30*40

= 600m
