given :-
side if the rhombus = 10m
altitude of the rhombus = 6m
length of one of the diagonal of the Rhombus = 5m
there are basically two formulas to find the area of Rhombus.
one is "base × height" this formula can be used when the side and altitude of the rhombus is given. since rhombus is also a parallelogram.
another one is "1/2 × d1 × d2" where d1 and d2 are the diagonals of the Rhombus.
now, area of the Rhombus = base × height
= 10 × 6
= 60m²
also 1/2 × d1 × d2 = area of the rhombus
➡ 1/2 × d1 × d2 = 60m²
➡ 1/2 × 5 × d2 = 60m²
➡ 2.5 × d2 = 60m²
➡ d2 = 60/2.5
➡ d2 = 24m
hence, the length of the other diagonal of the rhombus is 24m.
