. Find the area of rhombus whose side is 5 cm and whose altitude is 4 cm, if one of its diagonals is 8 cm

long; find the length of other diagonal.​

Answer: as we know that rhombus is also a parallelogram

So , area of parallelogram = are of rhombus

B * H = area of rhombus

5 * 4

20 cm²

Therefore the area of rhombus is 20cm²

Length of diagnol = 8cm

Then Length of another diagnol be X

Then 1/2* d1 * D2 = 20cm²

1/2* 8cm * X = 20cm²

So X = 20cm² *2/1 /8

So X = 5 cm
