prependicular)^2 = (hypotenous)^2 - (base)^2
(p)^2 = (13)^2 - (5)^2
p^2 = 169-25
p^2 = 144
p = 12cm

area of right angle traingle = 1/2 × base × height
= 1/2 × 5 × 12
= 30cm^2

By Pythagoras Theorem :-

 {(hyp)}^{2}  =  {(h)}^{2}  +  {(b)}^{2}

 {(13)}^{2}  =  {(5)}^{2}  +  {(b)}^{2}

169 = 25 +  {(b)}^{2}

169 - 25 =  {(b)}^{2}

144 =  {(b)}^{2}

 \sqrt{144}  =  {(b)}^{2}

12 = base

Area of Triangle = \dfrac{1}{2} × b × h

= \dfrac{1}{2} × 5 × 12

 =  {30 \: cm}^{2}
