Area of minor segment = { pi × 90 ÷ 360 - sin 45 cos 45 } × r × r

= { 3.14×1÷4 - 1÷ √2 × 1÷ √2 } × 21×21

= { 3.14×1÷4 - 1÷2 } × 441

= 3.14×441÷4 - 441 ÷2

=1384.74÷4 - 220.5

= 346.185 - 220.5

= 125 . 685

Area of major segment = 1384.74 - 125. 685

= 1259.055
