Area of a semicircle = (πr^2)/2

(i) Area = (π(35)^2)/2 = (22/7)(35)(35)(1/2)

                                  = (22)(5)(35)(1/2)

                                  = (11)(5)(35)

                                  = (55)(35)

                                  = 1925 cm^2

(ii) Area = (π(21)^2)/2 = (22/7)(21)(21)(1/2)

                                  = (11)(3)(21)

                                  = (33)(21)

                                  = 693 cm^2
