area of semi circle= 1/2πr^2= (1/2)3.14(10)^2@= 157cm2

area \: of \: semicircle =  \frac{\pi {r}^{2} }{2}  \\ given \: r = 10cm \\ area \: of \: semicircle =  \frac{\pi {10}^{2} }{2}  = 50\pi  \\   = \frac{440}{7}  = 62.8 {cm}^{2}
Therefore the area of semicircle is 62.8cm^2.
