\bold{\underline{\underline{ANSWER:}}}

Area of Shaded Region = 59.5 cm²

\bold{\underline{\underline{EXPLANATION:}}}

Given:

Length of rectangle = 14 cm.

Breadth of rectangle = 7 cm.

To Find:

Area of Shaded region = ?

Solution:

First, we will find the are of rectangle:

Area of rectangle = L×B

                              = 14 × 7

                              = 98.

Then, we will find area of hemispheres:

There are 2 hemispheres.So we will multiply area of 1st hemisphere with'2':

2(Area of Hemisphere) = 4πr²

                                        = 4(22*7)(3.5)²

                                        = 38.5

Then, To find area of Shaded region we will subtract from Rectangle to hemispheres.

Area of Shaded region = 98 - 38.5

                                        = 59.5 cm²

Hence, the area of shaded region is 59.5 cm².
