the length of AB is base,and the length of DM is height length of AB = AC-BC

AB=30

area of AEDB = AB x DM

= 30 x 12

= 360cm square

in figure (iv)

area of triangle is 1/2 x base x height

in the figure base =30 cm, height=7.5cm

area = 1/2x 30 x 7.5

=1/2 x 225

= 112.5 cm square

base of parallelogram is (40-10)cm =30cm

height is 12cm

ar. of parallelogram =breath X height

= 30 X 12

= 360 cm square
