radius of semicircle= 14/2 = 2cm

area of shaded figure= area of rectangle - area of semicircle

= l x b - (πr^2)/2

= 50 x 14 - 22/7 x 7 x 7 x 1/2

= 700 - 11 x 7

= 700 - 77

= 623 sq. cm
