Area of the shaded region = Area of square - Area if the 4 quadrants.

= 400 cm^2 - 100π cm^2 = 86 cm^2 approx.

Hope this helps you....

Answer:

side of square = 20cm

so, area = 20² = 400 cm²

now , radius of each quadrant = 20 /2 = 10cm

area of shaded region = area of square - area of 4 quadrant.

400 - 4 × ¼ π r²

400 - 3.14 × 10²

400 - 3.14 × 100

400 - 314

86 cm²
