Answer:

Area of triangle = 1/2*l*b

Here, l is 12cm and b is 5cm

So, 1/2*12*5

30 cm

similarly Area of another triangle is 30 cm

area of both triangle = 30+30=60cm

given,

length of the rectangle = 5cm

breadth of the rectangle = 12cm

{area of rectangle = length × breadth}

= 5 × 12 cm²

= 60 cm²

_______________________________________

by Pythagoras theorem...

AB² + BC² = AC²

[5]² + [12]² = AC²

25 + 144 = AC²

169 = AC²

169 = AC

13 cm = AC

AC is the chord, hence AO is the radius of the circle...

AO = AC/2

AO = 13/2

RADIUS = 13/2

_______________________________________

Area of circle = πr²

= 22/7 × 13/2 ×13/2 cm²

= 3.14 × 6.5 × 6.5 cm²

= 132.665 cm²

_______________________________________

Area of shaded region = area of circle - area of rectangle...

= 132.665 cm² - 60 cm²

= 72.665 cm²

therefore, area of shaded region will be 72.665 cm²...
