= 14 root 2

Step-by-step explanation:

area of quadrant =1/4 ×pie× r²

1/4 ×22/7×14root 2×14root 2

=154root 2

area of shaded region =area of sector -area of square

area of square =s×s

14×14=196

Answer: first you should understand it is a quadrant(i.e angle of sector is 90)

Then area of shaded region= area of quadrant - area of square (of side 14cm)

Area of quadrant = a/360°×πrsquare where a=angle of sector

=90/360°×22/7×rsquare

= 1/2×11/7×rsquare

11/14×rsquare

Area of square=s×s

14×14=196cmsquare

Shaded area=11/14rsquare-196
