Note :-

  • Their is no unit given in the question that's why i'm taking it as cm².

Given :-

  • A big square of sides 14cm.
  • A small square of sides 8cm.
  • Four half circles of radius 4cm which becomes two circles after joining them together.

Now, we know that :-

  • Area of square = side²
  • Area of a circle = πr²

By putting values in formula :-

Area of big square - Area of both circle + Area of small square.

14² - (22/7 × 4²)² + 8²

→ 196 - ( 100.57) + 64

159.42c.

So, Area of shaded region is 159.42cm².
