as PQ is the radius of circle , and side of the square,

area of circle = π × r² = 22/7 × 49 × 3 = 462 cm², quarter circle = 462/4 = 115.5cm²

area of square = side² = 49×3 = 147 cm²

area of shaded region = area of square - are of circle = 147-115.5= 31.5 cm²
