Area of big rectangle = l × b

= 20 × 8

= 160cm.square

4× area of square =

= 4×a^

= 4× (2)^

= 4×4

=16cm.square

Area of small rectangle =l×b

= 9×4

= 36cm.square

Area of shaded region=

=area of big rectangle --( area of square + area of small rectangle)

= 160--(16+36)

=160--( 52)

= 160- 52

= 108cm.square
