Answer:

1500 sq.m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of big (outer) rectangle= 90×70= 6300 sq.m

For inner rectangle:

length= 90-5-5 = 80 m

breadth=70-5-5 = 60 m

(Subtraction of width of the path from both sides)

Area of inner rectangle= 80×60= 4800 sq.m

Therefore, Area of shaded part= 6300-4800 sq.m

= 1500 sq.m

Hope this helps.

Answer:

1500m sq.

Step-by-step explanation:

1st-There are two RECTANGLES

2nd- let one (i.e.outer) be fig.A. and another (i.e. inner) be fig.B.

SOLUTION:

First lets find the area of fig A.

Formula of finding the area of a rectangle=L×B=70×90=6300m sq.

______________________________________________________

Now, lets find the area of fig.B.

but before finding the area of it, we have to find the dimensions.

lets find BREADTH = Total measure of B=70m(given)=

Now, we have to subtract 5 from up and 5 from down in 70 =(70-10)=60m

lets find LENGTH = Total measure of L=90m(given)=

Now, we have to subtract 5 from left and 5 from right in 90 =(90-10)=80m

Now we got L=80m and B=60m

So Area of fig.B.=L×B=80×60=4800m sq.

_________________________________________________

Now two Areas are fig.A.=6300m sq, fig.B.=4800m sq.

6300-4800=1500m sq. is the area of shaded region.
