In the given figure, ABCD is a rectangle.

Given that, AD = 6cm

And DC = 8cm

Then, by Pythagorus Theorem,

AC² = AD² + DC²

= 6² + 8²

= 36 + 64

= 100

AC = √100

AC = 10

AC = Diameter = 10cm

OC = AO = Radius = 10/2 = 5cm

Area of the circle = pie × r²

= 22/7 × 25

= 78.57 cm²

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 8 × 6

= 48 cm²

Area of shaded region = Area of circle - Area of rectangle

= 78.57 - 48 = 30.5 cm²
