area of triangle BDC=1/2(BC)(DE)
=1/2×20×3.5=35cm²
area of shaded region
=areaof ABC-areaof BDC
=60-35
=25cm²

How BC will be 20cm square it should be 20cm only since it is length.
And from the fig. I see that DE is perpendicular to BC not parallel to BC. What yarr Question to right likho
And one more thing in right angled triangle hypotenuse will be the largest side but according to ur question the largest side is base i.e 20/2 or 10 how this is possible... yarr once chake ur question
