Find the area of shaded region if PQRS is a square.

The answer is here,

Area of shaded region = Area of square- Area of the two triangles (unshaded region)

Side of the square = 5+7=12cm.

=> Area of square = side×side.

=> 12×12 = 144sq.cm

Area of triangle =1/2× base×height.

=> 1/2 ×7×5=> 35/2.

Area of the two triangles => 2×35/2= 35sq.cm

So, Area of shaded region = 144-35

=> 109sq.cm
