154 = 22/7 × r2

r2 = 154 × 7 /22 .

R = 7 cm.

Let the side of square = a

Side of square = 2r.

a = 2×7 = 14 cm .

Now,

Area of square = a2

Area of square = 14 × 14.

Area of square = 196cm2.

Area of shaded region = Area of square - Area of circle.

Area of shaded region = 196 - 154 = 42 cm 2.
