Find the area of shaded region in the figure, where ABCD is a

Side=14

area of shaded region=area of square-(area of circle) 4

•area of square = side×side

= 14×14

= 196cm²

(area of circle) 4 = πr²

= (22/7×7/2×7/2)4

(cut 2 and 22 and make it 11, cut 7 and 7)

= 4×77/2

(cut 4 and 2)

= 154cm²

shaded region = 196-154

=42cm²
