First find the area of the traingle as we know area of the triangle is 1/2(base*height) than find the area of the semi circle πR2 /2. Then subtract the area of trainglefrom the area of semicircle the remaining part will be the area of the shaded region.

Given: From figure we have

Diameter of semicircle is 10 cm. Base height  of right angle triangle is 6 cm and 8 cm respectively

To find: Area of shaded region

Step-by-step explanation:

Diameter of semicircle = 10 cm

Therefore Radius = 5 cm

Base of triangle = 6 cm

Height of triangle = 8 cm

Area of shaded region = area of semicircle - area of triangle

area=\dfrac{1}{2}  \pi r^2-\dfrac{1}{2} \times base \times height\\\\\Rightarrow area= \dfrac{1}{2} \times \dfrac{22}{7} \times 25- \dfrac{1}{2} \times 6\times 8 \\\\\Righarrow area = \dfrac{275}{7} - 24= \dfrac{275- 168}{7} =15.28

Hence the required area of shaded region is 15.28 cm²
