Answer:

area of bigger rectangle = l×b = 15×20 = 300 m²

area of square = side²= (12)² = 144 m²

area of shaded region = area of rectangle - area of square

area of shaded region = 300 - 144 = 156 m²

Answer :-

  • Area of Shaded Region = 156m²

Given :-

  • Length of Rectangle = 20m

  • Breadth of Rectangle = 15m

  • Side of Square = 12m

To Find :-

  • The Area of Shaded Region.

Step By Step Solution :-

In the given figure the length and breadth of the Rectangle is given 20m and 15m respectively.

And the side of Square is given 12m. We have to find the Area of Shaded Region.

Therefore,

Area of Shaded Region ⤵

Area of Rectangle - Area of Square

  \bigstar\boxed {\underline{ \mathfrak{ \green{Area_   {(Rectangle)}  = Length  \times Breadth }}}}

 \implies \sf \: Area = 20 \times 15 {m}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies \sf \: Area = 300 {m}^{2}

  \bigstar \boxed {\underline{ \mathfrak{ \red{ Area_{( \sf  Square)}  =   \sf{Side}^{2} }}}}

 \implies \sf \: Area =  {(12m)}^{2}  \\  \\  \implies \sf \: Area = 144 {m}^{2}

Now Area of Shaded Region ⤵

 \sf{Area\:of\:rectangle-Area\:of\:square}

Area of Shaded Region = 300m² - 144m²

Area of Shaded Region = 156m²
