Area of the shaded region = Area of the square ABCD - 4 × Area of a quadrant or a circle with r = 6cm

\longrightarrow\sf{12cm \times 12cm -  \times  \frac{1}{4}  = 3.14 \times 6cm \times 6cm}

\longrightarrow\sf{(144 - 113.04) {cm}^{2} }

\longrightarrow{\boxed{\sf{\red{{30.96cm}^{2}}}}}
