Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

AC=diameter of the circle=✓6²+8²=10

Radius=5

Area of circle=πr²=3.14*5*5=3.14*25=78.5

Area of rectangle=6*8=48

Area shaded region=78.5-48=30.5cm²

Given :-

DC = AB = 8

AD = CB = 6

Let us first find the diagonal AC by pythagoras theorem :

 {H}^{2} = {P}^{2} + {B}^{2}

h = \sqrt{ {p}^{2} + {b}^{2} }

h = \sqrt{ {8}^{2} + {6}^{2} }

h = \sqrt{64 + 36}

h = \sqrt{100}

h = 10

Since AC = the diameter of the the circle then,

R = \frac{d}{2}

R =  \frac{10}{2}

R = 5

●The Area of the circle =

\pi \: {r}^{2}

=》 3.14 × 5 × 5

=》78.5

●Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

=》 8×6

=》 48

The area of Shaded region = Area of Circle - Area of Rectangle

=》 78.5 - 48

=》 30.5 Ans
