Area of square 1 = 36cm²

so, side of square = √36

= 6cm

Area of square 2 = 64cm²

so, side of square = √64

= 8cm

Now, in the middle there is a right angled triangle

and both the squares are connected with the triangle forming its one side each.

Therefore, sides of triangle is 6cm,8cm

but we don't know the third side?

So let it be X

by Pythagoras theorem:-

(h)²=(p)²+(b)²

(X)² = 6²+8²

x² = 36+64

x²= 100

X = √100

X = 10cm

Now since we got the third side of the triangle

and it is connected with the square. It means that this side of the square.

so according to the question,

area of square = (s)²

= 10²

= 100
