Hey Mate..

 {12}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {a}^{2}  \\ 144 = 2 {a}^{2}  \\  {a}^{2}  = 72 \\ a  = \sqrt{72}

Then area=

 {a}^{2}

 = 72 \: m2

Hope it helped ❤️❤️

Given:-

Diagonal of square = 12m

now ,

Diagonal of square ²= 2a²

→ 2a² = 12²

 \sf \implies {a}^{2} = \frac{144}{2} \\ \\ \sf \implies \: {a}^{2} = \frac{ \cancel{144} \: 72}{ \cancel{2}} \\ \\ \sf \implies \: {a}^{2} = 72 \\ \\ \sf \implies \: a = \sqrt{72}

According to question .

→ we have to find the area of square .

Area of square = side²

→ (√72)²

→ 72 m²
