Step-by-step explanation:

area \: of \: square = length \times length \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  = 4 \times 4 = 16 {cm}^{2} \\  \\ area \: of \: rectangle = length \:  \times breadth \\  \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 8 \times 2 = 16 {cm}^{2}  \\  \\  \\ difference \: between \: two \: area \: is \: 0

~Anzwer :-

Here, we have been given;

Side of Square = 4 cm

Length of Rectangle = 8 cm

Breadth of Rectangle = 2 cm

Now,

  • Area of Square :-

We know that,

$ \rm{Area~ of~ Square~ : ~Side \times Side}$

  \rm{= 4  \: cm\times 4 \: cm}

 \rm{ = 16 \:  {cm}^{2} }

Next,

  • Area of Rectangle :-

We know that,

$ \rm{Area~ of ~Rectangle~ : ~Length \times Breadth}$

 \rm{ = 8  \: cm \times 2 \: cm}

 \rm{ = 16 \:  {cm}^{2} }

Difference :-

Now,

  • Area of Rectangle = 16 cm²
  • Area of Square = 16 cm²

Hence,

16 cm² - 16 cm²

= 0 cm²

 \\

∴ Hence, the difference between the areas of rectangle and the square will be of 0 cm².

  • This can be said is the areas of both the figures have no difference.
