SOLUTION :

The perimeter of a square = 48 m     (given)

To be found :

The area of the square

We know that,

The perimeter of square = 4a unit   [ ∴ In which a is the side of the square ]

First we have to find the side of the square

We can find the side of the square by the perimeter of the square

4a = 48

a = \frac{48}{4}

a = 12

∴ The side of the square is 12 m

Now,

Area of the square = \bf{ {a}^{2} }  unit sq.    [ ∴ In which a is the side of the square ]

Area of the square =  \bf{ {(12)}^{2} } m sq.

Area of the square = 144 m sq.

Hence,

The area of the square is 144 m sq.
