Answer:

length of rectangle = 14cm

width = 12 cm

therefore, perimeter = 2(14+12)

= 52cm

therefore , side of square = perimeter/number of sides

= 52/4

= 13cm

therefore, area of sq = side²

= 13²

= 169cm²

hope it helped :)

To Find :-

  • The area of square.

Solution :-

Given,

  • Square perimeter = Rectangle perimeter
  • Length of rectangle (l) = 14 cm
  • Breath of rectangle (b) = 12 cm

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

↪ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(14 + 12)

↪ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(26)

Perimeter of rectangle = 52 cm

Given, Square perimeter = Rectangle perimeter

Square perimeter = 52 cm

Now,

Side of square = Square perimeter / Number of sides

[ Put the values ]

↪ Side of square = 52/4

Side of square = 13 cm

As we know that,

Area of square = (Side)²

[ Put the values ]

↪ Area of square = (13)²

Area of square = 169 cm²

Therefore,

The area of square is 169 cm².
