given,

ABCD is a quadrilateral

In triangle ABC

area = 1/2 (b) (h)

=1/2 (75) (50)

= 1875 square metre

In triangle ACD

area = 1/2 (b) (h)

= 1/2 (75) (40)

= 1500 square metre

now,

area of quadrilateral ABCD = area of triangle ABC + area of triangle ACD

= 1875 + 1500

= 3375

hence, area of quadrilateral ABCD is 3375 square metre.
