Find the area of the base of a box of height 4 cm and lateral surface area 120 cm if its length is twice its breadth​

Answer:

let breadth=x

length=2x

latral surface area =2h(l+b)

120=2×4(x+2x)

120=8×3x

120/8= 3x

x=15/3 = 5

b= 5 cm

l=2×5=10 cm

area of base=5×10 =50 cm^2
