hey mate !!

here is your answer !!

in the question given dimensions are in below :-

length = 28 cm

breadth \: = 0.5m \\ \\ change \: in \: cm \: \\ \\ 0.5 \times 100 = 50cm \\ \\ height \: = 0.2m \times 100 \\ \\ = 20cm

in the questions here we find find the area of the cardboard required to make an open box required to make an open box .box is opened so there applies lateral surface area of cuboid .

now ,

area of the open box = lateral surface area ( area of four walls ) + area of the base.

using formula

area = 2 ( l + b ) h + l × b

2 ( 28 + 50 ) 20 + 28×50

2 ( 78) 20 + 1400

156 ( 20) + 1400

3120 + 1400

4500 cm 2

therefore the area of the cardboard required to make an open box required to make an open box is 4500cm2.
