Total surface area = 2 *( lb + lh + bh)= 2* (28 * 50 + 28 *20 + 50*20) cm2

Total surface area = 2* (1400+ 560+ 1000) = 5920cm2

But the open box will have no top surface

Area of top surface = l*b = 28 * 50 = 1400cm2

Reqd Area = 5920-1400 = 4520cm2 (Answer)
