Since rhombus is a special case of a parellalogram, where all sides are equal,

area of rhombus in this case
= base × altitude
= 14cm × 16cm

= 224cm²

Rhombus is a parallelogram with opposite sides parallel. Therefore Area of Rhombus=Area of parallelogram. So,Area of Rhombus = Base × Height. And altitude is a height. 14×16=224 cm^2
