Question :- find the area of the figure

Answer :-

         your ans is 495 cm^2

constuction :-

                draw DC ⊥ AE .

∴ ABCD is a rectangle

∴ BC = AD

∴   AD = 25

∴   BD = 30-25=5 cm

therefore ,

               Area of ABCD

                        = 18* 25 cm^2

                        = 450 cm^2

∴ AB = DC      [ as ABCD is a rectangle ]

so,

    DC = 18 cm

as,

      DCE is a Right angle Δ .

∴ Area of ΔDEC

                = = \frac{1}{2} * DE * DC\\= \frac{1}{2} *5 *18\\= 45 cm^2

∴ Area of given figure is 45 + 450 = 495cm^2

our answer is 495cm^2.

thank you.

Answer:

draw DC ⊥ AE .

∴ ABCD is a rectangle

∴ BC = AD

∴ AD = 25

∴ BD = 30-25=5 cm

therefore ,

Area of ABCD

= 18* 25 cm^2

= 450 cm^2

∴ AB = DC [ as ABCD is a rectangle ]

so,

DC = 18 cm

as,

DCE is a Right angle Δ .

∴ Area of ΔDEC

=1/2×DE×DC

= 1/2 ×5×18

=45cm2

∴ Area of given figure is 45 + 450 = 495cm^2

The answer is 495cm^2.

Hope this is helpful for you.
