1st one - length as 4cm and breadth as 3

area = L x B = 4x 3 = 12cm

2nd one - length = (5-3) = 2 and breath = 1

area = L x B = 2x1 = 2cm

so the total figure = 1st one + 2nd one = 12 + 2 = 14cm

so, area of rectang=length×breadth

so, area of rectang=length×breadth

so, total area=area of first part+area of second part
