To find the area of the figure given above :-

The Figure contains a rectangle and a Triangle

and in the figure , dimensions of the 3 sides of the Rectangle is given and 4th side ia not given as same dimensions of 2 sides are given in Triangles of 3 sides .

and as the Triangle is an Right angled triangle The side which is in the front of 90° is Hypotenuse So we can find the 3rd side of triangle by using Pythagoras theorem

h² = √p² + b²

h² = √8² + 6²

h² = √64 + 36

h² = √100

h = 10

So , we get all the sides now.

Area of triangle = 1/2 × b × h

= 1/2 × 6 × 8

= 3 × 8 = 24m²

Now Area of Rectangle = L × B

= 10 × 12

= 120m²

Adding all .

24m² + 120m²

= 144m²
